NV LOUIS BARTHELEMY BRUT AMETHYSTE CHAMPAGNE
Louis Barthélémy is a traditional champagne house, based in Epernay since 1991, that benefits from rich and varied grape buying contracts in a large number of crus. The house has a very distinct and elegant wine style, characterised by a small dosage but a long on lees ageing period. It pours with a creamy white mousse which once dissipated reveals a deep straw pale gold coloured base wine. Exceptionally fine bead showing great persistence. Aromas of yeast lees, baked bread and roasted almonds are followed by some toasty characters. On the palate toasty yeast lees characters are followed by some citrus and baked bread flavours. Creamy mouthfeel. Clean dry crisp finish. Medium to long aftertaste of yeast lees, toast and baked bread.
